Summer 2017 Oily Rag

The Summer 2017 edition of The Oily Rag is hot off the presses and is currently moving ‘post haste’ to a letterbox near you.

This issue features reports from the HSRCA’s Autumn Festival at Wakefield Park, the VHRR’s Phillip Island Classic and the HRCC’s Historic Warwick at Morgan Park. There is also a special photo spread commemorating 80 years of the Rob Roy Hillclimb along with photos of this year’s VHRR hillclimb.

In addition to all of that, the magazine includes a special article on Austin-Healeys racing at Bathurst in 1998 and tales of the exploits of a Kiwi F5000 driver at Phillip Island and the Leadfoot Festival. Plus lots more! Enjoy.

Winter 2016 Oily Rag

Your next issue of The Oily Rag is with Australia Post and currently jockeying for position with a zillion Christmas cards to see what gets to your letterbox first.

In this issue there are reports from VHRR’s Winton meeting, HRCC’s return to Lakeside and the HSRCA’s Spring meeting. Plus there are words to read from Wayne Wilson on his fun and games in the UK and especially driving his Brabham at Reims.

Aaron Lewis has also kindly sent in words and pics on his Goodwood experiences and who wouldn’t be smiling sitting next to Sir Stirling in an Aston Martin DB3S. All that and reports on the VSCC 40th Anniversary meeting, review of a great book on a long forgotten WA race circuit, Maseratis racing in Australia and whatever happened to the Costin-Nathan. Almost forgot – there are four pages of classifieds.

Make sure you stand by your letter boxes to keep the cards at bay so there is plenty of room for your copy of The Oily Rag.

Working to get the next issue out in January so please send your classified ads etc to me ASAP.

The Oily Rag – Coming to a Letterbox Near You!

Keep an eye out for the next issue of The Oily Rag that is currently enjoying the tender mercies of the post office.

In this issue you will find reports on the HSRCA’s Retro Racefest, VHRR’s Rob Roy Hillclimb, the HRCC’s Autumn Historics and Historic Winton. But wait there’s more, as the thorny question of replicas raises its ugly head along with just how important “line of history” really is. All that and more in this issue, so please greet your postal delivery person (PC for postman) with open arms.

Summer 2016 Edition of the Oily Rag

Oily Rag Summer 2016

The Summer 2016 issue of The Oily Rag is now with the printers and, depending on the vagaries of Australia Post, will soon be in a letter box near you.

In this issue are reports from the HSRCA’s February Wakefield Park meeting, the HRCC’s TTT day and Super Sprints and the VHRR’s Phillip Island Classic.

There is of course a lot more including stories on two Alfa TZs, Parramatta Park and four pages of classifieds. Sadly there are also a couple of obituaries, including one that’s of significance to the HSRCA.

Keep an eye on your postbox, and enjoy!
