
The annual “Autumn Historic” Motor Race Meeting will be back at Morgan Park Raceway, Warwick, on May 12 & 13th 2012, presented by the Historic Racing Car Club (Qld) Inc.
With entries now closed we can expect to see 28 Historic Formula Ford and Open-wheel Racing Cars, with the field including former Australian Grand Prix types from 1959 Mildren-Cooper T51 to the exciting 1984 RALT RT4 over two grids which should produce some great nostalgic racing with famous cars from the past.

The Morgan Car Club will be displaying a group of their nostalgic sports cars from the famous British maker. The Morgan cars will be travelling from New South Wales and Queensland to be on Display.
The other stand out will be the ever popular “Tin Tops” – Historic Touring Cars from 1953 to 1975. These will include early Jaguar, Morris and Holdens from the 50’s, Mini Coopers and GT & Lotus Cortinas from the early 60’s, and later Ford Escorts, Capris, GTHOs and Mustangs, Holden Monaros and Toranas, a Valiant Charger R/T, and Mazda RX2s plus other Japanese, British and European models all as raced in the period. The 36 car grid will provide action packed racing over the weekend with all drivers looking for points in the Second round of the Black Trucks/ Tranzmile Queensland Cup Series.
Other categories include beautiful Production Sports Cars, Sports-Racing Cars, and a huge range of enthusiasts’ cars in the Regularity Trials.
The Pits are a trip back to a bygone era of 50’s to 80’s motor racing in Australia. Visitors are welcome to talk to the owners and drivers and gather the history of these cars .
Gates open at 7.30am each day with racing starting at 9.00am.
