2017 HSRCA AGM

The 2017 Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October the 18th, at Denistone Sports Club from 8:00 PM.

At this meeting your new committee will be elected, which means that all positions will be declared vacant. If you would like to contribute to the continued growth and direction of our Club, fill in the notification form, have it signed and return it to the office address on the form at least 14 days prior to the meeting to allow inclusion in a nominations listing on the HSRCA website.

This is an important meeting, and apart from business is a great chance to catch up with friends and socialise. Dinner for members will be on the house, so come along for a meal and to enjoy a social evening while engaging in interesting discussions on the future of the club.

Annual General Meeting 2017

Denistone Sporting Club, 59 Chatham Road, West Ryde

At 8.00 pm on Wednesday 18 October 2017

Please join us for our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday evening 18 October next.

The AGM is important because it is an opportunity to review the year and invite comment on the way the HSRCA responds to the challenges and opportunities that lie before us. We are also proposing two life membership for people who have provided long and sacrificial service. And we have some club trophies to award. Celebrate with them.

The last year has been successful on important fronts, goodwill continues to be strong and office bearers have worked tirelessly in the interests of the club. Sadly, we have lost members who have passed away and some members are also grieving from loss of loved ones whose life they have shared for decades. Some also have felt it is time to retire from often very long service. So it is a time for reflection and some sadness but also thankfulness for friendships and service to historic motor sport.

As happened last year, meals are free, and whilst some have suggested that accounted for the exceptional turn out of 60 people, I am convinced it reflected strong interest in the future of the club. We hope we can do justice to your expectations.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Richard Cardew,
President
