Call out for Historic Eligibility Officers

Think your retro-tech knowledge is up with the best? CAMS Historic Motor Sport Commission is seeking Expressions of Interest from enthusiasts who would like to use their knowledge and expertise to assist the Commission in the area of historic vehicle eligibility.

This can involve the inspection of historic vehicles as the initial step in the process that can lead to the granting of CAMS Certificates of Description, FIA Historic Technical Passports and CAMS Historic logbooks and the checking of vehicles at race meetings to ensure that they continue to comply with their documentation.

Whilst applicants with knowledge of all historic vehicle groups are welcome, the Commission is particularly interested to hear from those with expertise in Group C and A Historic Touring cars, all Groups of Racing and Sports racing cars -particularly the earlier groups for cars built prior to 1960 – and all Groups of Historic Formula Ford.   This is a voluntary system, but expense reimbursement is available to cover travel and other associated costs.

Interested applicants should contact trent.price@cams.com.au at CAMS Head Office with a brief resume of their background, For further information, contact Commission Chair Bob Cracknell 0418 249 059 or Deputy Chair Col Haste on 0408 865 629.
