Wakefield Park Spring Historics Wrap-Up and Photo Gallery

HSRCA Historic Spring

The HSRCA and friends took over a chilly Wakefield Park this past weekend and put on our All Historic Spring event with great success, for a wonderful crowd of historic racing enthusiasts.

A tremendous collection of historic sports and racing cars, their fearless drivers and fans of historic cars and motorsport had Wakefield Park buzzing from dawn until dusk for three entire days of typical Goulburn spring weather.

The racing was clean, quick and exciting, and drivers did a fantastic job of keeping everything pointed in the right direction in some pretty tricky conditions. The pits and paddock were, as usual, full of beautiful cars and good friends, and an excellent place to spend a few hours wandering, chatting and taking it all in.

The Australian Specials Feature was a great success, expanding the already stunning group of historic sports and racing cars that attend historic events, and including some beautiful, storied, rarely seen and truly unique cars. Thanks to Dick Willis for putting the feature together, and to everyone involved. We look forward to seeing you again at our future events!

Huge thanks to all of the organisers, entrants, spectators and especially the volunteers, who braved the elements to keep the racing safe, civil, and well-organized. We would also like to send a special thanks to our interstate friends from around the country for making the journey and taking part in the event. Your efforts to support historic motorsport and the HSRCA are very much appreciated and we and look forward to seeing you again! It’s the people, friendships and camaraderie that make these events such fun and we appreciate everyone’s involvement immensely.

The first gallery of photographs from the weekend is already online on our gallery page here, and we will be bringing you more content over the coming days and weeks, from the many talented photographers that attend our events.

Additionally, we have gripping, seat-of-your pants on-board video coming your way that will provide a driver’s eye perspective of historic racing from the thick of the action. Stay tuned to www.hsrca.com.

If you have photos, video, or stories from the weekend and would like to share them on the club website, send an email to seth@hsrca.com, or drop by the club Facebook page and say hi. We appreciate your contributions!
